1490442 Jig for use with room units R L PRUITT 28 July 1975 [1 Aug 1974] 31430/75 Heading E1S Room units 14 have corner posts 12, to be employed in assembling the units together on site, thereto fixed in a jig 10 which comprises stanchions 20 arranged in parallel pairs, with one working flange of each stanchion made flat, e.g. by grinding, and used to attach the corner posts to the stanchions and maintain them truly parallel whilst the posts are being attached to the room units. Spacers (28), (Fig. 2 not shown) may be employed between the working flange and the corner post, and the fastening may be used to initially straighten the corner post. The stanchions may be fixed in position, as shown, but with a vertical adjustment, or may be mounted on rails (Figs. 7-9, not shown) to allow plan adjustment also. The room unit is brought into position on a wheeled carriage via tracks 36, and jacked upwards on its carriage before the posts are attached thereto. |
