<p>1490811 Organic sulphonyl semicarbazides UNIROYAL Inc 24 Jan 1975 [6 Feb 1974] 3163/75 Heading C2C Organic sulphonyl semicarbazides are obtained by contacting a salt of an organic sulphinic acid with azodicarbonamide in the presence of water. Specified products obtained by this process are those of the formula wherein R is C 1 -C 18 alkyl, C 2 -C 18 alkylene, C 6 -C 12 aryl or arylene, C 7 -C 18 alkaryl or alkarylene, C 7 -C 9 aralkyl or aralkylene, C 5 -C 8 cycloalkyl or cycloalkylene or a group wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> are C 2 -C 4 alkylene or phenylene radicals, X is -O-, -S-, -SO-, -SO 2 -, -NH- or -CO- and n is 1 or 2. In some of the examples the salt of an organic sulphinic acid is formed in situ by treatment of the corresponding organic sulphonyl chloride with a metal sulphite in aqueous solution.</p> |
