PURPOSE:To simplify an apparatus and the like by selectively exciting either one of a pair of vibrators. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is composed of a platelike elastic vibrator 10, vibration elements 11a and 12a attached to one side faces of the vibrator 10, a movable extraction unit 20, a switch mechanism 14, and a single-phase power source 15. The elements 11a, 12a are selectively excited to vary the moving direction of an elliptical motion generated on the surface of the vibrator 10, thereby formed or reversely rotating the directionality of the motion to be output to the unit 20. |
