<p>1460539 Dispensing package and cartridge PERMTEK INC 11 Oct 1974 [23 Oct 1973] 44261/74 Heading A5G [Also in Division B8] A package for controllably dispensing a liquid substance comprises first and second corrugated plies of a plastics material permeable to the liquid substance, the plies being peripherally sealed to each other in opposed relation with the corrugations of one ply being nested in the corrugations of the other ply. The liquid substance may be an odorant, deodorant, insecticide, attractant or a repellant. A plurality of the packages may be stacked together with spacers between the packages. Each spacer may comprise a single ply, or a flat package of the permeable plastics and containing the liquid substance. Alternatively a package may comprise alternate flat and corrugated portions with the package being zig-zag folded to form layers alternately of flat and corrugated portions. In another embodiment a flat portion of a package is folded over a corrugated portion and the two layers rolled into a spiral. The package may include lines of corrugations inclined to the other corrugations so that superimposed portions do not intermesh. The inside surfaces of the plies may be roughened to provide capillary action. The superimposed portions may be housed in an air-tight container having a removable lid.</p> |
