The formers are expanded during their passage through the stations by levers 6 which engage a fixed central cam 7. Each former comprises a pair of separable halves 2, 2<SP>1</SP>, 3, 3<SP>1</SP>, 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, 5, 51 or may comprise a unitary body over which the tubes are merely pushed to reshape them. In a second embodiment, the tubes project slightly from the formers, the projecting region being glued to receive either a bottom or a cap. |
