PURPOSE:To facilitate the operating control of a train and enable easy and positive judgment on whether or not to inspect/repair each system of the train by providing the train with such a structure as to store travel distance information aggregately into an aboard device automatically at each station, thus travelling with the accumulating total travel distance information. CONSTITUTION:When a train 1 departs from a departure station A memorized in a memory 5 and halts at another station B, the train number, accumulating total travel distance information and departure station code memorized in the memory 5 of the train 1 are transmitted to the arithmetic unit 9 of a ground device 6 at the station B. In the arithmetic unit 9, the travel distance information from the departure station A memorized in the memory 5 of the train 1 to the station B provided with the arithmetic unit 9 is added to the received accumulating total distance information. This added accumulating total travel distance information is memorized in the memory 5 of an aboard device 2 in the train 1 standing at the station B as the renewed accumulating total travel distance information together with the name of the station provided with the arithmetic unit 9 as a departure station code. The accumulating total travel distance information of the train 1 can be thus obtained automatically aboard the train without through a man's hand. |
