<p>Cpds. are Ar'-CO(Ar2)C(OCH2R')2 (I) and where R' is 1-5 alkyl, 2-3 alkenyl, 7-9C aralkyl, 8-9C aralkenyl or -(CH2)-X (X is halogen, -OR3, -SR3, -OAr3, -SAr3, -OOCR3- or -COOR3) n is 1-3, R2 is -CH2-CH(R)-, -CH2-CH(R)-CH2-, or -(CH2)3, R3 is -1-4C alkyl, R4 is alkyl, R4 is 1-18C alkyl, Ar', Ar2 and Ar3 are phenyl opt tri-substd with halogen, 1-4C alkyl, or O-alkyl, and pref. if Ar1 and/or Ar2 are substd R1 and R4 may be H. Cpds. are useful as photopolymn. initiators and photocrosslinking agents with improved storage stability in the dark, and give rapid initiation and high yields.</p> |
