The machine comprises a horizontal work on which a prod. is brought to each in turn of four processing stations, viz. loading, weighing, injecting and discharging stations. A cruciform rotor turns on a vertical axis in steps of 90 degrees so that a prod. between adjacent rotor blades is presented at each station in turn. The table and rotor are pref. enclosed in a casing with only a single access port adjacent the loading and discharging stations. The height of the rotor blades is sufficiently greater than the depth of the access port so that an operator cannot get his into the injecting station. Injected liq. is pref. pumped by a positive displacement pump via a solenoid valve which remains open for a period proportional to the signalled wt. of the same prod. item.
