<p>The cleaning sponge (10) comprises an open-cell, flexible foam body and has a profiled working surface (11) having a plurality of parallel webs (13) between which there are grooves (12). These webs (13) have an elastic adhesive coating containing the abrasive material, e.g. powdered rigid foam, quartz or siliceous chalk. The webs (13) are impregnated with adhesive down to their roots. The sponge has a large effective scrubbing surface and can be produced in a simple, cheap way. <IMAGE></p> |
