Clinical thermometer for young children - has reservoir protected by teat and guard-plate and ring-shaped grip

An improved medical thermometer is described, particularly suitable for young children. It has a reservoir (1) containing the thermometric liquid which is protected inside a teat (2) with a guard-plate (4) in front of it. A grip (5) is placed in front of the guard-plate (4) and a graudated capillary tube (6) is attached to the reservoir (1). The liquid climbs inside this tube (6) which crosses the guard-plate (4) and extends into a transparent part of the grip (5). The grip may be a ring whose plane is perpendicular to the guard-plate (4). The capillary tube (6) may, in this case, be curved and extend along part of the circumference of the ring. Alternatively, the tube may be rectilinear and extend along a dia. of the ring.
