<p>The equipment accommodates items or rubbish of any kind, having a horizontal surface with an opening in it. Round the edge of the opening run two stepped portions (6-9) one inside the other. The inner step which is deeper than the outer step accommodates the stiffened edge (11) of the mouth of a flexible sack (10), and the outer step holds a lid(13). A stiffening component for the sack mouth can be included, typically a ring round which the sack edge is folded. Alternatively it can comprises a frame with a U-section open towards the outside, the upper arm of the U being wider than the lower one. A belt or rope secures the sack edge of the recess in the U-section.</p> |
