Optical system for demonstrating and displaying object - has two identical hollow mirrors facing each other with light transmitting section

The optical device is used for demonstrating an object located inside of it. It consists of two hollow mirrors placed opposite each other with a passage for the light in the centre of one of the mirrors. The light transmitting section can be made of glass or some other transparent material and will appear to support the virtual image formed. The two hollow mirrors are identical and the focal points lie inside or just outside of the mirrors. The edges of the mirrors are brought together and the light transmitting section consists of a hole. The focal point of one of the mirrors can be modified with respect to the optical centre of the other mirror. An object lying on the bottom of the lower mirror is displayed close to the optical centre of the upper mirror by the combined effect of the two mirrors.
