<p>The cord is made short enough to remain within the vaginal lips, or alternatively, not to protrude by >4 cm.; or again a long cord may be rolled up and secured at the end of the tampon, to be undone when required. The cord may end in a small plastic bobble, to make it easier to take hold of. Cord and bobble may be camouflaged by suitable colouring. In a different realisation, there may be no cord, but instead the means for taking hold of the tampon may be fixed directly toit.</p> |
