The high voltage pulse circuit is designed on the principle of discharge of capacitors. It uses a number of capacilon and includes means of charging them. The circuit has a step up transformer (TR2) having a primary winding (TR2P) a core (TR2C) and a secondary winding (TR2S). The circuit has selective switching means (COM) for discharging at least some of the capacitors (C1-C40). The capacitor (C1-C40) being sequentially discharged through the primary winding of the transformer. This induces a magnetic field in the transformer core which produces a high voltage in the secondary winding (TR2S). The voltage is rectified by means of diodes (D3, D4) and filtered by capacitors (CS1, CS2).
|
