<p>The sliding door mechanism has the leaves freely suspended from rollers during the door operation and set down onto the threshold in closed position. The door leaf (1) is fitted on the room side surface with a sealing strip (2) on three sides of the leaf, resting against the door frame (3) when in closed position. The bottom side of the leaf is fitted with bottom seal (4) resting against threshold (5). The leaf is suspended on two rollers (6) positioned to enclose an angle of 90 degrees with each other and fitted on bracket (17). The rollers travel on a U-section rail (7) with the legs of the U-shape angled convergently so as to provide travel path for the rollers. The rail is fitted at such a height, that during the sliding movement the leaf is slightly lifted off the ground so that the bottom part of the leaf does not touch the threshold. At points corresponding to the closed position of the leaf, the rail is provided with dips (12) so that the leaf drops down onto the threshold when the two extreme rollers reach the dips.</p> |
