The support for suspending a pipe from the ceiling is formed from a strip of metal which is wrapped around the pipe. The end of the strip is secured to the vertical portion by a clip formed from a rectangle of wire with two parallel rectangular holes on each side of a central bar. To facilitate the installation of the support the strip is provided with a series of notches spaced 100 mm apart along its edges. These notches enable the distance of the pipe to be fixed without the need for a rule or measuring tape. This also enables the required length of strip to be more quickly cut from the roll.
