<p>The automatic test equipment is used for checking faults in electrical wiring. It consists of a test voltage source whereby all wiring connections are divided into several groups containing equal numbers of individual contacts and connected to the test voltage via a selector. Groups or individual connections within a group are connected via a switching diode matrix to a logic register and analyser unit by which the actual state of the wiring connections are compared with the required wiring layout. After the test-potential is applied to one connection, the rest of the group are tested. The remaining groups connections are tested as a whole and only individually tested if a faulty or redundant connection is detected.</p> |
