Removing and stopping straightened sections of rolled profiles - using chain formed of channels which moves transverse to the outlet direction to convey lengths to shear

Equipment for removal and stopping rolled material lengths behind a straightening machine in a single or multi-channel operation whereby the rolled material emerging from the straightening line to the plate rails is braked and moved transversely. The plate rails are formed as endless brake chains transverse to the direction of movement from the straightening machine such that each link forms a channel for a single length with two edge strips extending in the direction of movement; the channels may be moved stepwise transverse to this direction. Profile sections of intermediate length up to about 30 m. can be stopped in a very short time, allowing fast throughput.
