<p>The components are delivered from bulk storage (1) by rotation, tilting or vibration of the hopper to a channel where they are correctly aligned. The channel is of zig-zag shape, formed by a back (11) and a front (10) plate. The front plate position is adjustable (13) so that different components can be handled. The various plates (17, 18) are arranged to assist the components' movement. Beneath the zig-zag channel the components pass through a second casing (30, 31), guided by their connector wires moving in a second zig-zag slot. Beneath this they fall through a vertical section of slot and into a pair of rotating notched wheels. Entry to the notches is controlled by a sliding bar synchronised with the wheels' rotation. The components then pass in a regular, correctly oriented way to the next stage.</p> |
