A machine to sprinkle ingredients such as small cubes of bacon, perperoni, ham or meat, on food in exact doses on a stepwise moving belt conveyor has in a working station a crosswise movable carriage. A power cylinder can move this carriage sideways and rollers on a horizontal and a cruved slot in the frame tilt the carriage in one extreme position so that suction cups ret on ingredients in an inclined chute and can pick them up. In the other end position the carriage rests horizontally over the belt conveyor and the ingredients can be dropped to the tin with food on the conveyor. Prodn. is fully automated and continuous, and ingredients are sprinkled in uniform proportions.
