<p>Pipe connector for pipes subject to corrosion, e.g. IC engine exhausts, comprises a first pipe (3) having a short end portion (2) of reduced diameter to fit sealingly into the end of a second pipe (1). Both pipes present a continuous external surface. The joint region is surrounded by a generally cylindrical clip (5) which is of sufficient axial length to provide the joint with mechanical strength. The clip itself is easily removable and the short length of engagement between the pipes themselves allows them to be separated easily even if they are corroded together. The reduced end portion may be slightly spherical.</p> |
