Rivet head for decorative clothing - is fixed to garment by layer of heat sensitive adhesive keying in recesses in head lower surface

The rivet is used for decorating clothing and similar and comprises a head (1) only, no shank being required. This head can be made of any material, be coloured or have any shape suitable for the purpose. It may be solid or hollow. If the head is solid, it is provided underneath with a number of recesses (2). These are used as keys when the head is attached to the garment by means of a layer of heat sensitive adhesive, this also penetrating the material. Hollow rivet heads permit the adhesive to flow inside the head, again forming a key.
