Contacting device for mechanical resonators - uses contacting bar or wire forming quarter wavelength oscillator for electromechanical filters

The resonator serve as driving oscillators for electromechanical filters. They are provided with a electrostrictive transducer and pin-like supports attached to oscillation nodes. The device has a thin bar (8) clamped at one end, whose free end is in contact with the electrostrictive transducer (3) electrode (5) away from the resonator (1). The length of the bar (8) is such, that it forms a quarter wavelength oscillator at a frequency corresponding to the driving oscillator resonant frequency. In a practical example where the driving oscillator has a resonant frequency of about 50 kHz the driven wire (8) has a length of about 20 mm.
