Novel pyranoside of formula (I): (where P is of formula (II) R1-3 are H or acyl, esp. acetyl, benzoyl or p-nitrobenzoyl) are used for treatment of cardiac insufficiency. Unlike proscillaridin, (I) are completely absorbed and eliminated at an optimal speed so that good blood levels may be obtd. without fear of accumulation. |
