1500250 Cutting potato sticks ARO S A 16 Dec 1976 [17 Dec 1975] 52657/76 Heading A4C Potato sticks of cruciform transverse crosssection are produced by cutting a potato with a punch grating tool 1 formed from sets of stepped blades 3, 4 within a frame 2. The sets of blades may either be in the same plane and interengage with slots, or be in planes one above the other. In a modification the potato is cut into slices by application to a stepped horizontal blade 9 and guided along a similar stepped surface 11a with the slice then cut into sticks by upright stepped blades 16 extending between blade 9 and the surface. Blade 9 may extend forwardly of blades 16, and the latter blades may be longitudinally staggered to prevent the sticks becoming clamped. |
