In a domestic machine, such as a vacuum cleaner or mixing machine, driven by an electric motor 1, a worm 4 on the motor shaft 3 drives worm wheels 5, mounted on working shafts 14, in opposite directions, and adjustment of the mesh may be effected by angular movement of the motor shaft 3 about a rubber mounting bush 8. Mounting straps 12 are provided with slots 11 through which pass fastening bolts 13 to facilitate lateral movement of that end of the motor. |
