<p>The cable roller (1) for use on a cable railway, has an elastic collet (4) retained between two flanges (5, 6) one of which is thrust sideways onto a bearing surface, where it is secured against axial displacement by clamps units set in depressions. The flange fits against the clamp projection on the side facing away from the collet, and the interval between flanges is less than collet width. The clamp units (7) are in the form of spherical or cylindrical roller units, and the adjacent part of the flange pref. encloses an acute angle with the bearing surface with the depression. The flange exterior may also incorporate pouched cavities to accommodate the clamp units, evenly distributed over its periphery.</p> |
