Flame tube boiler with waste air afterburner - preheats combustion air and deals with fluctuations in heat demand

The flame tube boiler plant is used for combined steam and heat generation and for thermal combustion of the process waste air to be cleaned. The plant is designed to meet the fluctuations in the steam or heat generation required and the constant flow rate of the waste air containing e.g. foul smelling substances from industrial processes. The flame tube boiler with heater has additional burners for the afterburning of the process waste air. The waste gases from the afterburner pass only through a single flame tube and emerge hot from the boiler. This heat is used for preheating boiler air after mixing with cold flue gases. Alternatively the cold flue gases can be tapped and supplied to the air preheater.
