The double handed switch for accident prevention in eccentric presses incorporates two press buttons functioning with a short duration switch which cuts out after a short period. The time duration of the switch function can be adjusted and varied by modification of a return spring tension. The switching on function occurs via an inertia component, such as a silicon brake or an air cushion. This inertia is overcome slowly by a draw or torsion spring, thus causing a delay in the switching off process. The sudden release of the switch arrangement causes the circuit to be immediately broken.
