<p>Manually operable injector for charging injection-moulds with previously liquefied moulding cpd. comprises a hollow cylinder whose outside is partly surrounded by a heating coil, and a piston inside it which divides the cylinder into a pressure chamber and a reservoir (for the moulding cpd.). The reservoir which as a smaller (sic) dia. has a discharge valve. The pressure chamber has a cover fitted with an inlet for a pressure medium, and a handle. Used in mfr. e.g. of sample mouldings or small-scale prodn. runs. The system has relatively low wt., hence easy handling. The reservoir can be easily re-filled with moulding cpd. without removal of the cover and the piston.</p> |
