发明名称 PERFEZIONAMENTO NEI SISTEMI DI CARBURAZIONE PER MOTORI A SCOPPIO
摘要 1446491 Carburetters: separating fuel droplets from air-fuel mixture R E KOEHM and D FABRI 3 Jan 1974 [21 May 1973] 00272/74 Heading F1B A fuel reclaiming system for an I.C. engine including a carburetter and fuel supply system, an intake manifold and a tubular structure forming a passage between the carburetter and manifold, the system comprising a collection chamber externally of the tubular structure and communicating with the passage, centrifuging means in the structure in the path of a fuel/air mixture stream from the carburetter, which cause liquid components in the stream to be centrifugally projected into the collection chamber, a drain tank connected to the collection chamber and into which the liquid components drain continuously, the drain tank forming a closed system with the collection chamber for counter acting reverse flow of the liquid components back to the air/fuel mixture stream, the output of the drain tank being connected only to the fuel supply system. In the lower flange 82 of the carburetter is bolted a two-part casing 83, 84 having an internal baffle formed by circular walls 102, 103 and a free-running propeller having blades 123, each of which has a flanged trailing edge 72 as shown in Fig. 9. As the propeller rotates liquid droplets in the air-fuel mixture are trapped by the flanges and thrown by centrifugal force through the annular gap between the wall portions 102 and 103, into chamber 106 which contains a reticular packing 128 e.g. metal wool, natural or synthetic fibres or a porous ceramic. The droplets drain into a well 132 and overflow through tube 131 to a closed tank 139, containing a ball-valve 146 which operates a switch 144 controlling an electric pump 142 which returns the fuel to a main supply tank 148. Continuous enrichment of air-fuel mixture. A small pool of fuel always remains in the bottom of the well and this flows to an outlet 152 at a rate controlled by an adjustable valve 174, formed by one end of a pin 156, the other end of the pin is threaded and passes through a nut 168. A slotted head 173 provides for adjustment of the position of the pin. Mixture enrichment for acceleration. Nut 168 is grooved externally and engaged by the bifurcated end of a pivotally mounted link 159, connected to the armature of a solenoid 163 which is electrically connected to a power supply through a switch 178 positioned under the driver's throttle pedal 181. When a large throttle opening is used the solenoid is energized and attracts the armature against the force of a spring 166, thus retracting valve 174 and allowing increased fuel flow to nozzle 152.
