<p>Sheet feed mechanism which need not be adjusted for different types and thicknesses of paper sheets, consists of lifting suckers (1, 2) fitted at the rear edge (13) of the sheet stack (12). The suckers lift the uppermost sheet in direction of the arrow (D) and at the same time feed suckers (3, 4) together with auxiliary sucker (5) move in direction of arrow (C) so far, until it is at the same level with lifting suckers (1, 2). At the end of the travel of the lifting suckers (1, 2) sheet (15) comes to rest against the auxiliary sucker (5). Following that the feed suckers (3, 4) and the auxiliary sicker (5) hold the sheet and the lifting suckers (1, 2) release the sheet. A gap (17) appears between the sheet stay (12) and the lifted sheet, sensor element sets down on the sheet stack and starts blowing air towards the gap (17). On the resulting ari cushion the sheet slides towards the feed mechanism and to the feed rollers (7, 8, 9).</p> |
