The two modules are situated such that a recess is formed between them into which fluid passages open. A selecting unit is capable of being situated in either of two positions in the recess. The selecting unit contains at least one selecting channel and carries a graphic symbol. In each of the positions the connecting channel connects fluid passages in the modules in a respective manner and in each position the graphic symbol is situated adjacent the graphic symbol of the or each module to indicate the manner of connection. In Fig. 3 two adjacent modules 1, 11 form a recess 3 capable of receiving a connector 32 which in position (a) connects opening 25 to inlet 241 and in position (b) connects openings 23 to inlet 221. Each module and the connector carry circuit symbols. The connector may be oval (Fig. 11, not shown) or circuluar (Fig. 12) and in the latter case may overlap two modules.
