PURPOSE:To reduce a velocity at which an original is carried without decreasing copy productivity and to reduce noise by exposing and scanning an original by means of a scanning body while feeding the original, and making the relative velocity equal to the velocity of an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:While the original is fed, the scanning body 5 exposes and scans the original from the leading edge side in the original feeding direction; the relative velocity of the scanning body 5 and the original is made equal to the velocity at which the image carrier 1 moves. For example, when one copy is made from one original under the same magnification, the original is fed at a velocity of V/a, and the first scaner 5 moves at a velocity of (1-1/a)V from the original leading edge side, which is the opposite direction; here V is the circumferential velocity of a photosensitive drum 1. (where (a) is a continuous line equal to or more than one.) As a result, the relative velocity of them, which is a velocity obtained by adding the velocities of the original and the first scanner 5, is equal to the circumferential velocity V of the photosensitive drum 1. Thus, a speed at which an original is carried can be reduced without decreasing copy productivity, and noise of the copying device can be reduced. |
