U-section cable mounting rail - holds cable between inclined sides and fixes to wall using double sided adhesive tape in base

The U-shaped rail is used for holding wires and cables. It has two inwardly inclined sides (6) to hold the wire or cable. There is a double-sided adhesive tape (15) in a shallow recess on its rear surface for mounting the rail to a wall or similar support surface. The tape fills the shallow flat-bottomed channel in the rear wall (3) of the rail so that its surface lies flush with the side portions (14). A second wall (5) forms the bottom of the U-shaped part that holds the cable. The second and rear walls are separated by a cavity (2) that forms a rectangular channel running the length of the rail.
