The wrist watch base has a frame ring (1) formed with a radial slot (2) for locating the stem (3) of a manual push-button e.g. for interrupting the circuit of a battery-operated watch. The width of the radial slot (2) is restricted adjacent its inner end by two shoulders with facing edges (13) parallel to the axis of the slot (2). An olive (11) is fixed to the end of the metallic push-button stem (3), with an inner dia. greater than the width of the gap (12) between the shoulders, so that the rear face (10) of each shoulder forms a stop for the olive, when this is positioned on the inner side of the slot (2).
