<p>Safety flaps used for evacuation of smoke from buildings are operated from a distance by a lever with handle in a box to which access is gained after rupture of a cover. The sides of a steel case carry an axle for an operating lever with two arms forming a stirrup shape with handle The two arms support an axle on which are articulated the ends of a coping which has a hole for a cable. A screw in a cable clamp retains the cable which operates the safety flap. The lever pivots abouts its lower axis, to move the upper axis resulting in movement of the flap operating cable.</p> |
