Connection tab for single wires - enables contact to be made by chisel edges of keyhole shaped slot

Connection tab or strip for single insulated wires. Connection to the strip is achieved by passing the wire through a keyhole shaped slot (9A) and pulling it towards the narrow section (9B) the sides of the slot cutting through the insulation and making contact with the conductor. The strip is intended for use in high density arrays and for general interconnection purposes. The shoulders (9C) of the slot are chisel edged such that the insulation of the wire free end is parted and pulled slightly away to trap the wire. The strip may be continued (42) to form two short wings which fold over the wire insulation and secure it. The remote end of the strip may take a normal soldered wire joint.
