<p>A self-powered machine for felling and conveying whole trees (or poles) without dragging them over the ground, comprises a tree cutting and gripping head supported by pivoted arms and rams from a powered turntable on which is also mounted the control cabin. A wheeled rear chassis receives the cut trees, if desired in bundles from the head and is pivoted to the wheeled front chassis which supports the turntable and a drive unit. The head may be supported on a front plate when not in use. The platform of the rear chassis may be tilted by a ram.</p> |
