The information transmission system is for rail-borne vehicles and has a conductor running parallel to the rails and a vehicle-borne unit which is coupled electromagnetically to the conductor, which is a hollow rectangular member (HL) with a longitudinal slot (Scht) in which the coupling unit (FA) moves, and the edges of the slot are bent over. The top and bottom of the conductor may be at obtuse angles with the sides. The conductor may be in two halves and may be made of plastics lined with electrically conducting material. The longitudinal slot may be formed by a U-shaped plastics profile extending into the conductor. |
