Flexible or semi-rigid sealing strips are intended for use with car bodies. The strip consists of a core or metal profiled support (5) of U section. This is covered with plastic material or rubber (10), which is extruded and has longitudinal ear pieces to improve both sealing and seating. The joint can be used as a seat on an edge around the vehicle door opening. The support (5) is of undulated metal with ridges and depressions. Each undulation goes transversely and they extend over the full length of the strip, in a U shape. The strip can be cut to length, or may be made in pre-formed sections as required. |
