The height adjustable seat belt fixing makes it usable for persons of various heights. The fixing is fitted on the rear door post of the vehicle and consists of a carrier plate (1) bolted to the post by a shaft bolt (3) engaging with a welded-on nut (18). The head of the bolt is fitted with a plastic cover (14) and the plain part of the shaft bolt carries a bushing (6) on which an arm (5) swings. The arm is located in the space provided by the carrier plate fitted at a distance from the base plate (17), which is fitted in the car body skin (16). Lugs (2) provided on the carrier plate and reaching into holes (19) on the base plate and car body skin keep the carrier plate in position. The carrier arm (5) has a shaft bolt carrying an eyelet (10) for the belt.
