<p>A fodder mixes comprises a number of cells each discharging through a hopper botom and a cell-wheel or similar extractor to a common conveyor; the conveyor removes the materials from all the cells. Each cell has a discharge opening in the shape of an elongated slit; the width of the split permits av.-sized conglomerate of the material to pass through, and the open length of the slit is defined by one or two slide valves adjustable along the length of the slit. The arrangement provides an outlet opening of generally square or circular shape, in contrast with the prior art crescent shape. It enables a much less selective flow of material to leave the hopper and prevents large conglomerates from being retained in the hopper.</p> |
