Aircraft simulation control system - manoeuvres towed target from neutral altitude position according to adjusted air resistance profile of target

The altitude control system is used for towed aerial targets. This system ensures simulation of low flying aircraft by the towed target. This simulation is used to represent sea skimmer aircraft or low flying aircraft following closely the terrain contours on land for firing training. The control system ensures constant height above ground for conventional towed target with simple means. The towed target 4 altitude is adjusted independently of the towing aircraft (2). The target has adjustable resistance elements (14) for changing the air resistance (W) of the target. The target travels upwards or downwards from a neutral position depending on the adjustment of the resistance.
