<p>A swinging-down flap for a cupboard, which in its vertical and closed position, fills about 2/3 of the front opening, has a counter balance which keeps the flap (10) horizontal in its open position. A certain distance up from the bottom of the flap is a pivot pin (16) secured to a side fitting. A swinging arm (5) is attached to this pin one end and by another pin (17) to a slider (4) travelling in a slot at the cupboard end of the flap (10). This slider is kept horizontal by a guide strip (24) above that end, and a panel (23) across the back of the cupboard. A counter balancing spiral spring (18) attached to one end of the swinging arm is attached also to the rear of the cupboard. Another spring (14) is attached to the slider (4) and to a forward connection on the side fitting.</p> |
