<p>The implement uses two welding electrodes, one stationary on the metal support and the other one being movable to and from the support by a drive, as in 245804. The drive moves the second welding electrode (9) towards the support (13) by means of a spring (31) engaging the drive. The spring is prestressed by a latching device (19-21). The latching device limits the spring movement in the direction of the welding electrode. The spring and the prestressing force are rated for a drive independent pressing movement. Thus the moving electrode can be translated by the spring from the position, defined by the latching device, into a position pressing the contact blank (11) against the support.</p> |
