Double glazed window unit - uses shutter-like flexible sound insulating and heat insulating mat between two glass panes

Double-glazed windows are fitted with a shutter assembly which in addition to the darkening of the room during the night provides sound and heat insulation. The coiling mechanism can be accommodated in the upper horizontal leg of the leaf frame /8/. The mechanism consists of a tensioning wire (1) and coiling mechanism (2) arranged in such a way that the insulating mat (10) is coiled-on n compressed state. The mechanism is further fitted with gripping rail (3) and guide section (4) fitted rigidly with each other. The side rails (5) are limited by a stop lug at the top and by a U-section at the bottom. The tensioning wire is led over return pulley (13) back to the coiling-on mechanism (2). The operation can be motorized.
