<p>The window frame, of metal cored-foam, uses low-density insulating foam covered by a thin skin of non-porous extrudable thermpolastic. It i made by injecting the foam between the core and the skin, at the time the skin is being extruded. In contrast to known metal-cored frames which use foam as a structural material and have no covering skin, the new frame uses less material and can be made in bright, fadeless colours.</p> |
