Parent Patent describes a rainwater tank for a sewage disposal plant. with a circular cross-section in plan and a conical tapering bottom of slope exceeding 25 degrees. The point of the taper is coaxial to the plan of the tank and the water inlet is eccentric to produce a swirling motion within the tank. A sludge extractor is incorporated near the bottom apex. In this Addition, the sludge extractor imparts a motion to the tank contents having a component in the rotary or tangential direction and in the same sense to the incoming, eccentric flow of water. The rotary or swirling flow produced in the tank by the incoming water is accentuated and strengthened by the action of the sludge extractor.
