<p>1455384 Dust filter SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 18 Jan 1974 [22 Jan 1973] 02528/74 Heading BIT A multibag dust filter has the portion below the filter bags divided by a partition 20 into an inlet compartment having dividing upwardly directing baffles for dirty gas and a quiescent dust compartment which allows fine dust to settle. Flow from inlet 17 is directed upwards between a proportion of the inward flow bags and then sideways and downwards between the remainder. Partition 20 may have tiltable upper walls adjusted by rod 26, baffles may be inclined and the inlet compartment may have a settled dust outlet (30) (Fig. 2 not shown). Bags may have circular or elongated cross sections and be back-flushed individually or in rows. Fume from metallurgical processes i.e. aluminium electrolysis containing hydrogen fluoride has aluminium oxide dust injected to adsorb the fluoride and is subsequently cleaned of aluminium oxide in the filter. Partition 20 may 'be U shaped, (Figs. 4, 5, not shown) multiple inlets may be present.</p> |
